We create journal pages in Acadia National Park, the harbors and boatyards — or inside quaint locales or in our cozy gallery, if weather keeps us inside.

Color Wednesdays
This group focuses on color art media -- anything NOT oil paints: watercolor, pastel, acrylic, colored pencil, oil pastel, or iPad. Come and play with your art stuff! I have some supplies I can sell you if you lack anything (well, I don't sell iPads, lol). Carroll Drug has some stuff for sale as well. You can bring reference photos, work from your imagination, fantasy, or abstract. It's all good! We are outdoors 'en plein air' (on location) in good weather.

Painting from Photographs
We work out composition, color correction, copyright, and 'likeness' in this drop-in course. We work primarily with oil paints, but any media welcome. We discuss goals, commissions, and technique. Instructor Mary Ternus encourages you to bring your own reference photos, but we have some photo references in the studio. Mastercopies can also be created, and guidelines will be discussed.

Mozart & Art for Seniors
This unique art class for Senior Adults focuses on providing a studio cultural experience for adults experiencing cognitive, mobility, or life-threatening challenges. This group is guided by the principle of 'process' over 'product', in that our senior students will re-experience the joy of creative work. We play quiet classical music, and provide all art materials. Artists take their work home with them. Senior artists will be able to work with acrylic, watercolor, or colored pencils, with the guidance of your chaperones. 'Hand-over-hand' initiating is practiced. Dignity is foremost, and enjoyment of an afternoon with art is the goal.
